Woody is
the
quintessential
storyteller
in the
best
Southern
tradition.
This
book is
a
collection
of short
stories
told
about
life in
rural
Gleason,
Weakley
County,
Tennessee
beginning
with his
first
grade in
school,
1951 -
1952,
his
exciting
teen
years in
school,
1959 -
1963,
and
culminating
with his
marriage
at age
twenty
in 1965.
If you
remember
your
first
"true
love"
as a
teenager
and the
loss of
that
love
you'll
want to
read
this
book.
Other
experiences
shared
in the
book
will
"ring a
bell"
with
reader's
about
some of
their
own
youthful
experience
during
their
"growing-up
years as
well.
