A large celebration was held on December 10th
at 2:00 PM for Julia Campbell Sawyers' 80th
Birthday. The event was held in the Fellowship
Hall at the First Baptist Church in Gleason, TN.
The party was hosted by Julia's children: Franco (Ronnie) Young and their son Joel Young of Jackson TN, Tina Cash and her daughter and granddaughters, Shelly & Kenzie Holcomb of Chehalia, WA, Jimmy (Cindy) Sawyers and their children, sons Clark & Ben of Collierville TN and daughter Courtney Sawyers of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS.
A beautiful three tiered cake and delicious Hors d'oeuvres with punch, tea, coffee and cold drinks was served to everyone.
Jimmy had prepared a movie of Julia in her youth and celebrations of Julia and her family each ten years afterwards until the present time. Jimmy and Cindy's daughter Courtney sang a beautiful Christmas song at the end of the movie.
Julia received many gifts and best wishes from approximately 100 family and friends attending the gala event.
The Woman's club of Gleason chose The Olivia at Martin, TN for their Christmas luncheon. Seventeen members enjoyed their fellowship and food on December 14th. The only member absent was Shirley Smith.
