October 8, 2015

  Dear Folks,

Kentucky Tennessee Clay Company, a member of Imery's Ceramics, would like to invite all people from Weakley County and the Great State of Tennessee to Minerals Day, October the 13th, 2015.

Minerals Day is a time when we open our doors to the public for a sneak peek into our day-to-day operations, right here in West Tennessee. We will be giving a short presentation overviewing our prospecting, mining, milling, environmental, safety, laboratory, and logistic processes as it relates to the clay industry.

After a short Power Point presentation in the conference room, guided bus tours will give participants an up close view of an actual active mine site as well as safe access to the milling facility. Several displays and operators will be set up at the plant which will give people of all ages an entertaining and educational experience.

So, please join us October 13, 2015 at Kentucky Tennessee Clay Company, 5450 Old Highway 22 Gleason, TN  between 9:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. for an interesting day. Bring all your family and friends! Hot dogs, drinks, and popcorn are free to all.

Students, especially those interested in geology, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as civic groups and individuals, are welcome and encouraged to attend. For your convenience, colleges and other groups of 12 or more people should call at least a day ahead for a tour time.  Feel free to pass this invitation on to any one that may be interested in attending.
